For the last twenty days, millions of SXSW discussion took the social media (particularly Twitter) by the storm. South by Southwest, the biggest tech conference of the year, started on March 7 of this month, and ended on March 16, and according to a study by Synthesio (a social media monitoring platform), SXSW received more than 2 million social shares in just over the course of ten days. In which interactive portion drew the most social buzz (142K Mentions), while the film portion of the festival drew 127K mentions.
"Joe" at #SXSWFilm and "Lady Gaga" at #SXSWMusic were the most trending topics. In addition, people talked about the festival in 203 countries in 36 different languages.
